#LetsGoToTheMovies: More than 300 guests celebrated the opening of the JFilm Festival, which runs through April 30 and showcases independent films from around the world, deepening audiences’ understanding of culture, tolerance and humanity. This year, the after-party was in memory of former JFilm committee member Lois Weaver, who passed away just after last year’s festival. Her daughter, Leslie Amper, spoke of Ms. Weaver’s love of the movies and her support for the arts.
