Award-winning filmmaker Gregory Scott Williams, Jr. will screen a brief excerpt of his upcoming feature film and discuss his process, pitch, artist’s statement, artist residency, and other aspects of the film and multimedia project that he has funded through grants and other sources.
About Gregory Scott Williams, Jr.
Gregory Scott Williams, Jr. is an award-winning artist. His current multimedia project, “Warriors,” includes a feature documentary film and an exhibition of large-scale protest images. His other recent projects include, “Project Chick,” which received an Audience Award at the 2021 Pittsburgh Shorts and Script Competition and had its world premiere at the 2019 Cinequest Film and Creativity Festival. Greg also produced WQED’s initiative “THINK!,” which was nominated for a 2018 Golden Quill Award and a 2018 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award, as well as a number of independent shorts, most notably “five deep breaths,” which screened at the Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, New York Film Festival and Los Angeles Film Festival, where it won the Best Narrative Short Award.
