Award-winning filmmaker (and JFilm alum) Roberta Grossman reveals the untold story of the intense negotiations between Jewish and German leaders that led to the 1952 Luxembourg Agreement. Charged with negotiating reparations for the largest mass genocide in history at a time when Holocaust survivors urgently needed help, they met in a hidden castle near The Hague under the constant threat of violence. Featuring dramatized scenes and interviews with historians, including Nuremberg War Crimes prosecutor Ben Ferencz, Grossman’s riveting documentary, brings to life the fraught meetings that led to the official acknowledgement of the genocide and the proposal seen as the first step towards healing.
