Fifty-something Rachel (TV’s Lisa Edelstein) finds herself at a turning point; her only child is off to college, her marriage is listless, and she’s afraid the best years of her life are behind her. So, when she receives a wedding invitation from a former, much younger colleague, she jumps at the opportunity, sending back her RSVP and a gift as quickly as possible—a little too quickly. Rachel’s haste draws suspicion of infidelity, inadvertently setting off a chain reaction that has both couples reexamining their relationships. Beautifully messy and moving, The Everything Pot scrutinizes the expectations of marriage and relationships through an amusing yet touching lens, creating a comedy of errors that feels relatable as much as it is entertaining.
