The Go-Go Boys: The Inside Story of Cannon Films
Pittsburgh Premiere

An engrossing tale of the rise and fall of Israeli cousins and showbiz giants, Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus, who arrived in Hollywood in the 1980s and built the world’s biggest independent film company. Cannon Films was a “schlock” film empire that established the careers of Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, and Jean-Claude Van Damme and revolutionized the business of Hollywood. However, their rapid ascent turned disastrous after a series of ambitious failures led to bankruptcy and estrangement. Golan and Globus’s colorful personalities shine through interviews and archival footage that reveals how these Israeli cousins left an indelible mark on the American film industry.
