The true crime genre is as popular as can be in the world of pop culture, and true crime podcasts reign supreme. Director Chris Kasick gives us a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes in the making of those podcasts with Citizen Sleuth. Kasick follows Emily Nestor, a true crime podcaster from Appalachia, who finds herself unintentionally blurring the lines between fact and entertainment as she investigates a mysterious local death. This on-point documentary had its world premiere at SXSW earlier this year.
