Rachel is a 40-something school teacher who is happy and content with her life, yet contemplating having a child on her own. Enter Ali, a charming divorcé with a 4-year-old daughter. As the romantic relationship takes off, so does Rachel’s bond with young Leïla, and ultimately, she must make a decision. With subtle direction, a wonderful score, and incredible performances (especially from Virginie Efira as Rachel), Other People’s Children feels so authentic, it may just break your heart.
