A donkey belonging to one widow’s late husband becomes a neighborhood nuisance.
Director's Statement: "When my writing partner Richard approached me with the first draft for Our Neighbour's Ass, I instantly recognised it was a film I wanted to direct. It was original in its concept and had universal themes of loneliness and grief that I knew would resonate with all audiences. Ida is grieving the very recent loss of her husband, and Pablo’s braying is a metaphor for that grief. I felt that her story was the perfect cinematic device to explore the grieving process, but also make an entertaining narrative. I hope this film provokes thought over how we perceive and treat our elderly and the importance of companionship, in whichever form. Each one of us is looking for connection and are usually grieving in one way or another." —Max Goldberg
