Director's Statement: "My wife is a United States diplomat, and in 2022 we were posted to the Netherlands, where I discovered the true, tragic, yet ultimately inspiring story of Ernst Cahn. That this happy and peaceful man found himself squarely in the sights of Klaus Barbie—arguably the most sadistic Nazi in history—is harrowing. I am increasingly alarmed and angered by the disinformation that I see every day, spreading like a cancer throughout the United States and abroad. I can't believe that Holocaust denial is real. That hate is so casual. That ignorance is so common. That evil is so tolerated. It must be fought. It must be defeated.
