Activists clash over the October 7th hostage posters on the walls of one London neighborhood.
Director's Statement: "Torn (London) was a hard film to make. It was challenging to publicly share my thoughts and emotions, but I felt the painful subject matter required me to step out of my comfort zone. I wanted to draw attention to the hostages being held in Gaza by Hamas, in particular to restore the humanity of the youngest victims—a nine-month-old baby and his four-year-old brother—contrasted with the shocking lack of empathy shown by the people who tore down their posters. By weaving together layers of film, photographs, and animated drawings, I wanted the film to mirror the complexity of emotions we all feel about this war. Having compassion for one group of people doesn't mean you can't also have it for another." —Carol Isaacs
