Oscars 2024: these 4 nominees screened at 3RFF and Pittsburgh Shorts
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed the nominations for its 96th ceremony, scheduled for March 11, 2024 in Los Angeles.
This year, 4 films screened at Three Rivers Film Festival and Pittsburgh Shorts were honored with 8 award nominations, including Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, and Best Animated Short.
Additionally, Lily Gladstone, nominated for Best Actress for her performance in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, starred in two of our recent 3RFF films, Freeland and The Unknown Country, both produced by Pittsburgh’s own Laura Heberton. Gladstone made history as the first Native American nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress.
