Imagine what happens when Nazi Germany's best hope to win a gold medal in the women's high jump in the infamous 1936 Berlin Olympics is a young Jewish girl. With a threatened American boycott of the games if no Jewish athletes compete for Germany, the Nazis have to let Gretel Bergmann practice -- while training an unknown athlete named Marie Ketteler to spoil Gretel's chances. An unlikely friendship develops between the rivals, with a surprise for all. Berlin '36 is based on a true story. (Brief nudity)
