FILMS
Finding Light is a multi-faceted film using dance to initiate conversations about the need for human rights protections against bigotry and hate. Exploring how the events of 9/11 led award-winning choreographer Stephen Mills to search for a deeper meaning in his work, the film features magnificent dance performances from Mills’ Light / The Holocaust & Humanity Project (performed by Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in 2009). Illuminated by the story of Holocaust survivor Naomi Warren, Finding Light takes audiences on a journey that while situated in the past, makes relevant connections to the present through the power of dance.
