On April 4th, 1943, a young woman finds herself on a train. Her decision that day is revisited twenty years later when she is approached by a stranger.
Matan Rochlitz is an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker and musician born and raised in Rome, Italy. Matan cut his teeth as a journalist before transitioning to short form documentaries. He is currently working on films about insomnia, Roman cuisine and the end of capitalism. His most recent film I Have a Message for You premiered on the New York Times Op-Docs. He is also a musician, currently focusing on old-time banjo music and Italian folk songs.
