Joachim Prinz: I Shall Not Be Silent
In 1930s Berlin, a young rabbi, Joachim Prinz, preached about the value of Judaism, despite repeated arrests. Expelled from Germany in 1937, Prinz emigrated to the United States hopeful to find that democracy had triumphed over bigotry and hatred. Dismayed to be faced with racism against African Americans, Prinz became a leader of the civil rights movement.
