Kidnapping has become something of a national sport in Haiti, but that doesn’t mean everyone excels at it. Doc and Zoe, two small-time crooks, capture a senator’s son and hold him for ransom; that is, until a mishap results in his death. As they attempt to cover their tracks, they find themselves thrust into the middle of a political conspiracy involving another abduction, backroom deals, and corrupt police. Unique, exhilarating, and with a nod to Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, Kidnapping Inc. combines the classic crime caper with snappy, slapstick comedy, all while addressing Haiti’s ongoing societal trials.
