Set in 1977, this gripping drama follows two daughters of Holocaust survivors as they search for the truth about their father’s past. After an elderly Polish woman accuses their father of being a murderer, the young women launch an investigation into their father’s murky history. Part detective story, part psychodrama, with rich cinematography and a hauntingly beautiful score, Past Life is helmed by celebrated Israeli director Avi Nesher and based on actual events chronicled in the wartime diaries of Dr. Baruch Milch.
