Saviors in the Night
Pittsburgh Premiere
A powerful World War II drama that shows how courageous German peasants in Westphalia risked their lives to hide a Jewish family for over two years. Because of their fair coloring, Marga and her young daughter are able to pass as Aryan. With danger lurking, her husband, hidden in solitude, runs the daily risk of discovery and death. Based on Marga Spiegel’s memoir published in 1965, “Saviors in the Night” is a fitting tribute to the heroes who saved her.
Supported in part by the Holocaust Center of the United Jewish Federation.
