Young Gerda spends her days imagining herself to be one of The Three Musketeers, but when her parents are arrested, she is called upon to live up to her imaginary self. Charged with helping Sarah and Daniel, two Jewish children her parents were hiding, to escape across the border into neutral Sweden, Gerda is determined to succeed. Along with her brother Otto, a Nazi sympathizer who begrudgingly joins her, the four set out on a harrowing journey. As they traverse the Norwegian landscape, they need to find strength, courage, and trust. With an incredible performance by Anna Sofie Skarholt as Gerda, The Crossing is a triumphant film about friendship and bravery that the entire family will enjoy!
